Many years ago you had very limited choices where your wedding cake was concerned.

Textured wedding cakes
Perfectly smooth iced tiers have been the finish of choice over the decades but more recently, couples have been open to including different textures into their cake design.
From a buttercream finish (a style made popular by Prince Harry and Megan back in 2018)
To cakes made to look like logs!!!!
In 2019, we can expect to see a rise in the number of couples choosing to create a delicious cake with a textured surface rather than opting for the more familiar smooth layers.
metallic wedding cakes
The metallic wedding cake trend is set to continue, its the perfect way to wow your friends and will be a real talking point at your wedding.
From edible gold/silver leaf to a metallic paint there are many ways to incorporate it into your wedding cake However the gold and rose gold seem to be taking a back seat to make way for the silvers and more muted metallics.
